Inbreeding is wrong isn't it?
The truth is, it depends... But it can actually be very helpful.
What is 'inbreeding'?
There are two ways of breeding: out-crossing and line-breeding. Out-crossing is the way most breeders prefer to use. It involves bringing in new rabbits that are unrelated to your current rabbits. Line-breeding is the method of mating related rabbits, most often parent to child, grandparent to grandchild, or uncle/aunt to niece/nephew. Very rarely are full siblings bred together, but in some cases half siblings are. Line-breeding is a form of inbreeding.
