Booted rabbits have less than 10% white, White is usually located on the feet and belly. Most commonly occurs in mini rex. If parents are heavily marked brokens (or heavily marked broken bred to a solid),
kits have a higher chance of being booted.

Vienna Marked
(Holland Lop) photo provided by Furry Fireside Friends
Sometimes appear to be "dutch" marked, other times have a very small amount of white (usually on nose), but can vary greatly. These rabbits carry the BEW gene, but are not full BEWs. Can come in any color, just like brokens
Often have blue eyes or split eyes (see below), but can also have normal color eyes that match their color. Vienna marked rabbits who appear normally broken and have the correct color of eyes can be shown as a broken. These rabbits are then refered to as "Vienna Carriers" because the Vienna gene is present, but not seen.

Time to Talk Butterflies!
If you deal with brokens in any breed, butterflies are always present. Shown below are four examples of butterflies (or lack there of!). Click on a picture to read a little more about that type of butterfly and what it means to you!
Dutch

Hotots take advantage of the dutch gene and the broken gene. They are "charlies". Currently, blanc de hotots come in black banded (standard) and dwarf hotots come in black and chocolate banded (shown together). Blue and lilac banded are possible genetically, but are not showable in either breed.
